It’s said
that a child without education is like a bird without wings. I suppose everyone
grasps the importance of it. However, the
tendency of dropout crisis is noticeable nearly
everywhere. Why is that? Why some students have the top
marks meanwhile others lose marks and
start playing truant?
I take the view that youth falls
behind with education, even those who are the straight
A-students and pass exams with flying colors.
Such kind of education doesn’t define your intelligence. There are some reasons
of it.
Firstly,
education is one of the industrial processes. It’s a significant part of
policy. That means education process is controlled and managed by government.
Today’s state of facts proves that it’s wrong and unbeneficial. Despite the
fact that each government invests in education a lot of money, the result still is not satisfactory. The main participants of learning are students/pupils and
teachers and it’s impossible to meet such requirements
which actually make obstacles while learning. Education happens in classrooms,
so it has to be put back to people as it’s about people, it’s a human system.
Speaking
about subjects, opinions are divided as some
people think that core subjects just a waste of
time and everyone has to choose courses in which he/she is interested. By doing
in such way it is possible to make personal results better. On the other hand,
considering the natural talent of human, it’s
rather efficiently to try yourself in a broad curriculum in order to discover
your talents, demonstrate your abilities. Each
of us has a mental agility and a thirst for knowledge, but it may become apparent in
different spheres, not necessarily in math or other natural sciences. There are
a lot of untouched courses like arts, humanities and physical education which
are also important and worth of learning. It’s my firm
of conviction that all subjects have to be equal in learning, because
the conception of the world has to be event, equable. I think that is the aim of education, rather than getting a degree.
Besides the
subjects, the teachers matters to us significantly as they are the lifeblood of
the learning process. Teachers are those who have to provoke, engage curiosity,
make students to brainstorm new ideas. There has
to be some connection between the teacher and each student. I mean the learning
process should be individualized as much as possible. Of course, it may cost a
lot of efforts for teachers. In this case teachers have to be supported by the
state. The professional development has to be guaranteed. Such kind of
investment will be profitable definitely.
So, it’s obviously that there are problems in
education system, because it doesn’t function in an appropriate way as by cramming and burning the
midnight oil students wouldn’t have marked
improvement in learning. We should get down to
carry out education reforms in order to save our life from boredom, irrelevance
and make it inspiring and really interesting
